Sun and Rain

The first reviews are coming in, always a time to bite nails, but so far so good.

Just a note of thanks to readers, it's a big ask, ten hours, maybe fifteen or more, to step into a new world created in words.

Meanwhile, Lake Orta in the north of Italy, offers sun and occasional thunderstorms that make swimming an experience filled with drama.

Beautiful.

A body of water completely surrounded by land

...I remember the definition, 'a body of water completely surrounded by land' - I even remember the tune from watching Sesame Street with my daughter.

Now, whenever I see a lake, I think of it, even hum it!

Which means I'll be humming a lot for the next few weeks, around Lake Garda, Lake Como and a host of other bodies of water in northern Italy.

In a tent, with a bike!

The End and the Beginning

American Rebel begins and ends at this point in time. The book begins because it embarks on a life of its own now, moving in with readers and establishing its own identity. The book ends because it is no longer mine to shape now, as it is published and available through Amazon, with the electronic versions - kindle, ipad, iphone etc - for sale from tomorrow.
Let me know what you think, okay?

Zaragoza nights

I'm in Zaragoza in Spain to learn the language. Three weeks, three hours a day and three hours homework. Can I order a beer yet? What do you think...I tried and apparently ordered a head (cabeza) followed by a cherry (cerezas).  I'm getting thirsty waiting on a cerveza (beer, or so I hope!)

Just a Thought

I guess some of us thought the jump from letters to email left us a little content light, but social media is testing my adaptability right now. I'm Twittered up but still struggling to find the ideal form of the Tweet.

So, let's try...A pithy opinion, clearly expressed? A fresh slant? A slogan? A snapshot. A headline. An overheard comment in a bar? A thought?

Just a thought. Hmmm...

LIke a William Carlos Williams note to explain why there's no plums left in the fridge.
